If you have a fire alarm in your business premises it must be serviced and maintained by law. A fire risk assessment or fire officer’s visit would uncover this very quickly. Heaven forbid you have a fire but should you then it would be one of the first requirements to be checked. Don’t take a chance – for legal compliance and just general peace-of-mind ensure that your system is regularly serviced. The minimum requirement is two six-monthly services and in complicated systems the requirement is higher.
